50: Sacred Sons with Adam Jackson

from This Feels Important · host Kari Keating, Tory Dube, Adam Jackson

Kari and Tory are psyched to introduce today's guest - Adam Jackson. Adam is a dear friend, an incredible dad, a community leader, and a creative force. To thousands of men worldwide, he's a founding partner and the director of operations and voice of Sacred Sons, an organization dedicated to Masculine Alchemy and Embodiment. Sacred Sons utilizes the power of ceremony, ritual, and intentional spaces to deepen into authentic brotherhood and catalyze growth. Tory's partner Jetter has experienced Sacred Sons firsthand.  In this episode, Kari and Tory explore: What is a Sacred Son?  What's healthy masculinity? Where are we getting it wrong?  What do we have to gain in this world by realigning our masculine and feminine energies? How can women support their men in returning to healthy masculinity and embodiment? What would you say to a man or woman who's in partnership with a man - who is unwilling to do personal work? If you are raising a boy, in partnership with a man, or have men in your life you care about, this episode will provide practical advice. While Sacred Sons are focused on men, it's really about accountability. Authenticity. You are using relationships to be our greatest teacher. This episode can serve as the pattern interrupt to point you in the direction you know is best. It's time to get out of your head, stop intellectualizing, and move through this world powerfully. He is a Co-Founder, Director of Operations, and the Voice of Sacred Sons.  Adam is a true renaissance man—with his education in science, background in art and music, and ongoing exploration of love, travel, and experiential community building.  Before Co-Founding Sacred Sons, Adam held a 12-year career as a Sr. Mechanical Engineer working in the environmental water quality industry. He led product development of the CastAway-CTD™, a patented instrument used to monitor the effects of climate change on ocean currents. Adam was also the vocalist for the progressive hardcore band Twelve Tribes. From 2000 to 2007, the band toured throughout North America and Europe with fellow bands Killswitch Engage, Poison the Well, etc. Twelve Tribes released three full-length albums and appeared on MTV's Headbanger's Ball to debut the video for their most notable track, "Venus Complex." Fatherhood has set Adam on a heart-opening journey of conscious parenting and commitment to living one's truth. Adam is devoted to continual inner exploration and has the intuitive ability to connect others to their path and purpose. His spiritual practices have led him to Inipi Ceremony (Sweat Lodge), men's circles, plant medicine ceremonies, and transformational gatherings.  He is walking his spiritual path with the power of self-love and the intention to raise the collective consciousness of our human family. More honesty. More authenticity.
