50 Shades of Evil: New Mexico

from Bloody Angola: A Podcast by Jim Chapman · host Envision Podcast Productions

“Clifton Bloomfield” AKA the “Breaking Bad Killer” was Born in Arizona in 1969 with a violent criminal past that landed him in prison as a teenager, Bloomfield was released in 2002 and reinvented himself in New Mexico as a roofer… and a movie extra. He walked the sets of the prison drama Felon and even auditioned during the early days of Breaking Bad. But behind the camera, this career criminal was quietly hunting.Between 2005 and 2008, Bloomfield slaughtered five innocent people in their own homes: 37-year-old Carlos Esquibel, strangled after a chance encounter; 81-year-old retired schoolteacher Josephine Selvage, who suffered from Alzheimer’s; elderly couple Tak and Pung Yi, beaten to death during a home invasion; and newlywed Scott Pierce, shot dead in a botched contract killing gone horribly wrong — carried out with an accomplice while his bride hid in terror.DNA finally connected the dots after his 2008 arrest. To dodge the death penalty, Bloomfield pleaded guilty to five counts of first-degree murder and more, receiving five life sentences plus 45 years. Years later he tried to walk it all back… and failed.“50 Shades of Evil” is a podcast series brought to you by “Bloody Angola Podcast”.Chapters21:36 The Tragic Case of Tak and Yi33:21 The Murder of Scott Pierce41:23 The Infamous Clayton RiotJoin Bloody Angola on Patreon for Commercial Free Early Releases and more here: www.patreon.com/bloodyangolapodcast
