#50: Why It's Okay To Not Have Everything Under Control
from Uniquely You with Destiny Pickens · host Destiny Pickens
Christian women are often told to have everything under control. There is constant pressure to be the perfect wife, mother, employee, and so on. But the truth is, you don't have to be perfect. And we definitely don't have to have everything under control. God doesn't expect us to be perfect. He knows that we are human and that we make mistakes. What he does expect from you and me is to try our best and to trust in Him. So if you're feeling like you're not living up to the impossible standards set for you, don't worry; you're not alone. We have a duty to cast all our anxieties on Him even as we remain humble under his mighty hand. This results in upliftment for us. Let's not exhaust ourselves when all we had to do in the first place was hand all over to our loving God. He is the one who works things out in our favor in the first place.Scriptures mentioned include: 1 Peter 5:6-7 Romans 8:28 Jeremiah 29:11 Deuteronomy 31:8 Genesis 21:8 John 15: 12If you don't have a place to receive encouragement, I invite you to join my online community on Facebook HERE--- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/uniquelyyou/messageSupport this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/uniquelyyou/supportSend us Fan MailSupport the show
