Mike Oppenheim has been interested in entertainment since he was a child, but became serious in 1999 when he began a career in music. In 2006, he pivoted and started a weekly essay series, The Casual Casuist,  which is now in its 15th year of publication. In 2011, he released his first novel, Dysfunction, followed by Baby Doll: The Book in 2013, Too True to be Good in 2017, and The Apology in 2021. His fifth novel, Ardor, will hit bookshelves in 2022. In his spare time Mike eats avocados, facilitates writing workshops, and hangs with his family.
