Starting golf at 10, Karen Pearce achieved a handicap of 4 by age 14 and represented Queensland and Australia in multiple championships. At the time of turning professional at the age of 22, she played off a handicap of +2, the lowest marker in Australia at the time. After 14 years as a touring professional golfer on the European Ladies’ Golf Tour from 1991-2001 and LPGA in the US from 1998-2005, she also currently plays in Australia on the WPGA Tour, which she started playing on in 1991. In 2000, she received the Australian Sports Medal for her service to golf.Fifty-five-year-old Karen has also represented Australia in tennis, competing in the over-35 and over-45 World Championships. She has won 16 Individual ITF (International Tennis Federation) Seniors Singles titles since 2011, including recently when she played down 4 age groups and won the singles, doubles, and mixed events!
