50th Anniversary Archive Post: Pastor Phil Gangsei's Farewell Sermon from 1987

from A Place of Grace Podcast

In celebration of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church's 50th Anniversary this year, we are posting the January 25, 1987 sermon of Founding Pastor Philip Gangsei. This was the final sermon Pastor Gangsei gave as senior pastor of Prince of Peace, and he looks back on the first 29 years of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. The sermon came from the 1987 farewell video tape presentation. Thanks to Grace Kerr for providing us with a copy of the VHS tape that was used to obtain the audio, as well as those involved with the making of that 1987 tape that preserved the sermon. Prince of Peace Lutheran Church is located at 3641 N. 56th Street, just north of Indian School Road on 56th Street in Arcadia. Each Sunday Morning we have of two services, one at 8:30 a.m. (traditional) and one at 10:45 a.m. (celebration worship).
