Blimey, it’s hot outside! I know what you need to do! You need to go find some shade, a nice, cold drink, and then put on the 51st g’dam episode of This! Time! Tomorrow! In this one, Omri, Daniela and Benni position themselves at the political and economic crossroads facing Europe and the UK, and begin to question whether… erm, whether our democratic leaders are rising to the current moment. First they discuss Keir Starmer’s abrupt resignation as UK Prime Minister, which comes despite a landslide victory less than two years ago, which Omri laments as a symptom of Labour’s paralysis in the face of right-wing pressure and a failure to articulate a bold vision. The discussion then shifts to Europe’s tech sovereignty and… erm… something about investing in European innovation or something?… … they also look into Donald Trump’s, ermmm, deal (???) with Iran, arguing it exposes Europe’s limited influence on global security and whatnot and, actually… DO YOU KNOW WHAT?
