52 Do you have one thing to live for?

from Whole Life Healing w/ Dr Alex Loyd · host Dr. Alexander Loyd

Please forgive the inferior sound quality, as this was a recorded conference call. Victor E. Frankl survived a Nazi concentration camp during World War II, and he wrote a book entitled “Man’s Search for Meaning” about the two main principles that he believes gave him the mental and emotional wherewithal to survive. He exercised what he calls “the last of human freedoms” which gave him something to live for: he continually envisioned a scene from his past (being with his family in their den, warm and cozy around the roaring fire) and his hopes for the future (to finish the book he had started and dedicate the rest of his life to helping suffering people). Everything that has ever been created came from the “image maker”, which makes your ability to imagine the most powerful tool you have. However, negative programming can overwhelm your ability to choose to create or imagine something to live for. So put yourself in Victor’s situation, imagine that you are wrongly imprisoned: What is the one thing that you have to live for? You are not wrongly imprisoned right now, but at least you can imagine the importance of having something to live for. So choose today and every day to intentionally use your image maker to create positive things in your day, focused on love and truth.
