#53: Chalino Sanchez

Chalino Sanchez was a Mexican singer-songwriter known for his narcocorridos, or drug ballads. His songs told true stories of gang rivalries, cartel activity, famous outlaws, etc. In 1992, he received a note in the middle of a concert that is believed to have included a death threat. Chalino crumpled up the note and went on with the show.
