I didn’t rebuild my life and career in my 50s because I was chasing reinvention. I rebuilt because clarity — both personal and professional — had slowly gone offline, and I finally understood why.Earlier in my career, I was successful in corporate leadership and sales. When I had four children under the age of seven, I stepped away from corporate life to create flexibility. Over the years that followed, I continued working in less demanding roles while helping grow multiple businesses behind the scenes. Professionally, I was capable and trusted. Personally, I was carrying far more than I understood.I raised five children, became the legal guardian of my teenage nephew when he was homeless, cared for my mother through five years of cancer treatment, and navigated a long, complicated marriage that ultimately fell apart. Throughout that time, I made choices — some adaptive, some costly — while functioning in a prolonged state of survival. I didn’t lack discipline or intelligence; I lacked nervous-system safety and decision clarity. For nearly a decade, I lived in what I later learned was functional freeze — outwardly responsible, inwardly disconnected from my own needs, goals, and sense of agency. When my children left home, my marriage ended, and my mother died, the cumulative grief forced a reckoning I could no longer avoid. The turning point wasn’t a dramatic career move. It was reclaiming my body, my health, and my capacity to choose. Through grief counseling, meditation, and a return to physical strength, clarity slowly came back online. With it came a deep understanding of how leadership, sales, decision-making, and emotional regulation are inseparable — and how often capable people judge themselves harshly for patterns that are actually adaptive responses to prolonged overload. That understanding now underpins all of my work.I’m the founder of Hexagon Media, a strategic marketing and advertising agency focused on demand-building, messaging, and sustainable growth. I help businesses grow by aligning strategy with human behavior — not manipulation, pressure, or performative branding.I’m also the host of the podcast Deals with Heels, a long-running, well-respected show known for thoughtful conversations about leadership, sales culture, communication, and growth. The podcast has earned trust through consistency, depth, and real dialogue — and it has become a platform where experienced women leaders choose to have honest, substantive conversations about how business actually works.Later, I founded The Growth Vanguard, where my work expands into leadership advisory and sales culture transformation for founders and executives navigating growth without losing themselves in the process. As a podcast guest, I bring lived experience, pattern recognition, and calm authority — not motivation or formulas. I speak candidly about leadership maturity, ethical sales, decision-making after burnout or loss, and what it truly takes to rebuild clarity, confidence, and direction later in life.I’m especially drawn to conversations about:•Leadership and emotional regulation•Sales culture and ethical influence•Decision-making after prolonged overwhelm•Starting over without erasing your past•Building growth that doesn’t require self-abandonmentIf your audience values depth, discernment, and leadership that feels human rather than performative, I’m glad to be part of the conversation.https://thegrowthvanguard.com/free-ebookhttps://hexagonmedia.net/
