Ο Πέτρος Κόκκαλης, Ευρωβουλευτής ΣΥΡΙΖΑ - Προοδευτική Συμμαχία, συζητάει με τον Μιχάλη Ψαλλίδα από την Crowdpolicy, για την γαλάζια οικονομία, το περιβάλλον και την κλιματική αλλαγή. Βιογραφικό O Πέτρος Κόκκαλης συμμετέχει ενεργά στα κοινά τα τελευταία 25 χρόνια, αναπτύσσοντας πολύπλευρη δράση με επίκεντρο τον άνθρωπο και τη βιώσιμη ανάπτυξη. Σπούδασε Σύγχρονη Ιστορία στο πανεπιστήμιο Hampshire, με μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές στη δημόσια διοίκηση στο Harvard Kennedy School of Government.  Ως αντιπρόεδρος του Ολυμπιακού, αναμόρφωσε τον σύλλογο σε μία εκ των κορυφαίων επαγγελματικών ομάδων στην Ευρώπη (1996-2008) μέσω του εκσυγχρονισμού των υλικών και άυλων υποδομών του. Υπήρξε επίσης ιδρυτικός πρόεδρος της Super League Ελλάδας. ​Είναι συνιδρυτής και γραμματέας της βραβευμένης από τη Διεθνή Ένωση για την Προστασία του Περιβάλλοντος (IUCN) μη κυβερνητικής περιβαλλοντικής Οργάνωσης Γη (2009 - σήμερα), με πλούσιο έργο στην περιβαλλοντική ευαισθητοποίηση και εκπαίδευση. ​Διακεκριμένος στέλεχος της τοπικής αυτοδιοίκησης στον Πειραιά (2014 - 2019), τον οποίο ανέδειξε σε πρωτοπόρο δήμο προώθησης της επιχειρηματικότητας και στήριξης νεοφυών επιχειρήσεων που δραστηριοποιούνται στη θαλάσσια οικονομία. Η Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή αναγνώρισε το έργο του, βραβεύοντας την πρωτοβουλία του Blue Growth Piraeus στον Ευρωπαϊκό Διαγωνισμό Προώθησης της Επιχειρηματικότητας 2018. Κατά τη διάρκεια της θητείας του συμμετείχε δυναμικά και καθοριστικά στην ανθρωπιστική υποστήριξη υποδοχής του μεγάλου προσφυγικού κύματος κατά τη χρονική περίοδο 2015-2016. Το 2019 εξελέγη Ευρωβουλευτής με τον ΣΥΡΙΖΑ - ΠΡΟΟΔΕΥΤΙΚΗ ΣΥΜΜΑΧΙΑ.
