537: EASY growth by filling a gap in the world of programming coaching w/ Shiva Oswal

Shiva Oswal, is a Computer Science major at Carnegie Mellon University, originally from the Silicon Valley area. From an early age, he was fascinated with computer programs, the power of algorithms, and the immense influence wielded by the "big tech" companies like Apple and Google.In 2017, when he was 13, he appeared on the gameshow "Who Wants to be a Millionaire," where he won $250,000. On the show, he told the host Chris Harrison that he knew one day he would be a computer scientist.When he was in high school, he was exposed to the USA Computing Olympiad, a contest which involved designing efficient and correct algorithms to solve programming problems. After graduating and working with a variety of companies that offer programming coaching, he created Recursive Dragon to specialize in giving back to the USACO community via private lessons, and is helping to shape the next generation of student programmers as well as professionals.
