How can you communicate with people with different knowledge backgrounds so they understand the gospel message? Listen to this message to learn that the Apostle Paul had different approaches in his sermons. To Jewish-background believers he went to the synagogues and taught from the Old Testament about the Messiah. To those with pagan backgrounds he frequently taught through the philosophies of four different thinkers they were generally familiar with. As believers we, too, should sharpen our thinking and match our messages to the presuppositions of our listeners to be more effective witnesses.
