El segundo estudio es el de Frenkel-Toledo y colaboradores y trata sobre un análisis de mapeado por vóxeles del cerebro para disociar la hemiparesia y la espasticidad a nivel de topografía lesional. Un estudio francamente innovador. Empiezan a verse estudios que sí que tienen en cuenta literatura reciente y crítica con el constructo de la espasticidad como entidad suprema.
