54 | Do You Need to Confess Every Bad Thought? Just Because You Think It, Do You Have To BE It? Hear What God Has To Say.

There is a lie in Christian circles, specifically in Christian/Biblical counseling, that if pressure reveals thoughts that are not Christ-like, you ARE those thoughts and you need to confess. This subtle deception completely removes the fact that Jesus died to give us "a way of escape." We can resist temptation! We do not have to be who our heart wants us to be.  We have the God-given power to choose because of the shared victory we have as believers in children of God. Thus the entire meaning behind "guide thine heart in the way." WE get to lead our heart, not be led by it. We get to choose!
