#54 / Dr Jack Hunter on mediumship, nature and non-human intelligence

For episode 54 we welcome Dr Jack Hunter to the Spirit Box. Dr. Hunter is an anthropologist exploring the borderlands of consciousness, religion, ecology and the paranormal. He is a tutor with the Sophia Centre for the Study of Cosmology in Culture, University of Wales Trinity Saint David, and teaches on the MA in Ecology and Spirituality and the MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology. He has authored numerous books, most recently publishing  ‘Manifesting Spirits: An Anthropological Study of Mediumship and the Paranormal’ and he edited ‘Greening the paranormal Exploring the Ecology of Extraordinary Experience We discuss the influence of the childhood and teenage experiences which formed the interest in his chosen field of expertise and Dr Hunter takes us on a journey through his field work in mediumship at the Bristol Spirit Lodge to his thoughts on how we develop a more harmonious relationship between the human and non-human worlds and how the development of communication with a spirit is a process. In the plus section we go deeper into nature as an intelligence and upcoming projects including a project on High Strangeness and religious experiences.
