In episode 54 of the Outdoor Minimalist podcast, we get to discuss the topic of outdoor education and the importance of spending time outdoors not only for our physical health but for our mental health. We are diving into some of the ways that a lack of access to outdoor play can especially impact young children, how access to nature stunts learning, and how a fear of nature has grown into a more common learned behavior. To help us dive into this topic, I had the pleasure of hosting Kenny Peavy. Kenny is a science teacher and outdoor educator originally from the USA. He's been living in Southeast Asia for the last 20+ years exploring the rainforests of Malaysia, Indonesia & Thailand.
