544 - Find & Hunt LONER BUCKS - Hunting OLD HERMIT Bucks with Johnathan Holsomback

This week we have our buddy Johnathan Holsomeback, also known as John Boy by those who know him, on the show to talk about building history with and targeting specific bucks! Subjects include: - How he religiously re-scouts areas he already has years of history with - Hunting through a timber rotation, hunting cutover vs young pines vs thinned pines - How big bursts of hunting pressure can displace bucks - Nailing down a bucks core area in thick pine country - How the BIGGEST BUCKS don't really use community scrapes, but have their own scrapes - Placing trail cams to get a buck on cam every 1-3 days - Hunting the "medusa buck" - Unorthodox scent tactics - Calling deer with a snort wheeze in the South and TONS more! This had to be one of our favorite episodes of 2023 and we know you will get a lot out of it. If you enjoy the show, please share it with a buddy or five! Got a question for the show?
