#55: How The Heck Do You Write A Book? – Vicky Quinn Fraser

from Freelance Business Unlocked

If you’re anything like me, you sometimes daydream about publishing your own book, but you never actually tried doing it because of that tiny voice inside your head telling you that you have nothing of value to share, at least not in this format. This is exactly why I brought Vicky Quinn Fraser to the podcast. She is a book writing coach and she has helped dozens of clients get their books out into the world.Vicky talks about the importance of finding AND using one's voice, the value of private writing, and the concept of micro books as a more approachable way to write. She also shares what the actual process looks like and how she helps her clients overcome all of the well-known roadblocks they encounter along the way.My favorite thing about this episode is how doable book writing now seems. It’s definitely a lot of work, and it takes time and energy, but it doesn’t seem out of reach anymore.I hope you’ll feel the same way after listening to this conversation, too.Enjoy!Takeaways:Finding your voice is about courage, not discovery.Private writing can help clarify thoughts and feelings.Microbooks make writing more accessible and less daunting.Clarity is often the biggest struggle for writers, not time.Curiosity enhances both writing and personal growth. Here's where you can connect with Vicky:WebsiteE-mail list (get those freebies!)LinkedIn_______________________________________Let's connect on LinkedIn:https://www.linkedin.com/in/anjalordanic/You can donate and support this podcast here:https://www.buymeacoffee.com/freelancebusinessunlockedThank you and see you next week!
