55 - Poltergeist (1982) Review

from The Final Podcast · host The Final Podcast

A young family start to notice they are being visited by ghosts and while initially friendly, their presence soon turns malicious, kidnapping the youngest daughter. Tobe Hooper's Poltergeist, is certainly a different ghost story than what most horror fans are used to. These demonic ghosts certainly don't mind letting everyone know they're hanging around. Poltergeist is a great mix of storytelling and scares. Some would say it birthed a franchise of cursed movies. Reviewing this movie, we avoided all temptations to walk towards the light.
