When people discuss who the greatest painter of all time it really falls to two artists Titian and Velazquez. The thing is about Titian he sort of did everything that was possible first and invented so much in art culture that had never been seen before. From portrait poses, to historical allegories, to the pose series, to alter pieces that changed the world to his whole perspective on how we approach painting. So my vote goes to Titian. The king of all painters. But what I want to look at in this podcast is his life, how he lived and how he interacted with his best friend Pietro Arentino. So let’s take a look.
