56. How to stop holding yourself back with Spencer Snakard

from Resilient by Design with Rebecca Hay · host Rebecca Hay

Interview with Spencer Snakard This episode is a little different because we're talking all about mindset and how to stop holding yourself back with Executive Transformation Coach, Spencer Snakard. Spencer Snakard is an Executive Transformation Coach, Trainer, and Speaker. She works with Visionary Entrepreneurs & Transformational Leaders who are on a mission to make a major impact, helping them to break through barriers to their next level of success while loving life every step of the way ... and without giving up what matters most to them.  She has trained & coached in personal & professional development for nearly 25 years. Her transformative programs cause profound & lasting shifts in participants' lives by getting to the heart of what drives us, what holds us back, and what it takes to be truly fulfilled as spiritual beings having a human experience. Spencer has a degree in Psychology and extensive training & leadership in Ontology. She is a Professional Certified Coach, a Success Principles trainer, and a Yoga instructor, and brings a sense of play and humor into all of her work. Our chat became incredibly deep when we started on the topic of human nature, and how we, as entrepreneurs, business owners, humans, women, designers, have survival instincts that more often than not hold us back from achieving more. We really talked about the idea of survival and self-preservation. You'll hear times in our conversation when I had some "AHA" moments when we discussed how good we are at adapting to our current environments that we often don't push oversells forward outside our comfort zone to work towards the next success. During my coaching sessions, I often hear "I'm not ________ enough", but just because you say it and think it, does NOT mean it's true. Having these thoughts and not looking within may be holding you back from something new exciting and wonderful. My main takeaway from chatting with Spencer was that we have to challenge ourselves and our mindsets. Our lives, but also our businesses are affected by how we truly see ourselves, by understanding what our passions are, what our core values are. Figuring this out and being honest with yourself, is often more important to an entrepreneur than having the tactical skills to run a business. This episode is a great one to pause for reflection and food for thought. You can find Spencer's Free Masterclass at www.transformingmillions.com on Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
