56. Mental + Emotional Immune System SOLO EPISODE

from The Mindful Psychology Podcast · host Geneviève A. B - Island Yogi Therapist

Hello everyone!  Today on the show, it's just me! I will be talking about why we do what we do as humans on a healing mindful journey.  Why do we want to heal? Why do you want to create fulfilling lives? Why do we like to to adopt healthy habits?  I'll talk you through the comparison I make between how we tend to our physical health when we are ill, but we don't necessarily tend to ourselves the same way when we are going through emotional or mental distress. I'll also link how we take vaccines to develop anti-bodies but can develop certain mental habits to make certain challenges in our lives less overwhelming and damaging to our health.  Lastly, I'll talk about how we should normalise mental health and not abuse or mistreatment. Particularly in daily dynamics, as we unpack where we came from. It's important to go back and go deep inside ourselves to heal and move forward. Sometimes, along the way, we no longer fit certain roles in our family narrative or in other relationships. However, we can choose to develop healthier and stronger relationships when we do the work. Friends can become family and family can become friends, and isn't that amazing? :) Happy listening! With love, G 🌸 To connect with me: Free Anxiety & Boundaries ebook Contact me Book an appointment Website
