What I mean when I say healing is it’s a movement of energy. We want to experience shift. We want to experience ourself being able to respond differently to something we’ve been stuck in in the past. We want to come full circle to like a moment where we know, in the past I might have done this, but now I’m choosing to do this. More intentionality, less impulsivity, less reactivity. That’s what I see as healing.”“Your finances need more love, not more willpower. A lot of times when we’re trying to shift something in our financial life, we’re operating from a shame-based place, and we get into this willpower ethic thing, where we’re like, ‘I’m going to just try the same thing I’ve been trying, and I’m going to try it again, but this time I’m going to do it better because I’ll be a better person and I’ll just do it.’ And I don’t think that is very self-loving or very wise. We really have to dig in and look at what needs to iterate in the plan. If there’s something that you just cannot get done, whether it’s making a budget, doing your bookkeeping, filing your taxes on time without filing an extension, any of these things, really start looking at why that is and how can you iterate the plan and try something different.”
