In the early 1960s, Faust could be seen and heard performing on the banjo at the Gaslight Cafe in Greenwich Village, New York City. He met and knew many of the musicians such as Dave Von Ronk and Bob Dylan. Dylan wrote about Faust in his book Chronicles Vol. 1.
