57. A Haunting Halloween: The Tragic Case of Shauna

from Buried

In a tragic Halloween case from 1992 in Pennsylvania, 12-year-old Shauna was abducted and later found dead under a bridge, leading to community outrage and a 15-year ban on Halloween pranks. Initially dismissed by the police as a runaway, her disappearance sparked a frantic search, culminating in the discovery of her body with signs of assault. Despite a series of investigations and multiple suspects, including Ted Walker and the O’Brien twins, it wasn't until 2002 that retired officer Rich Graham suggested multiple perpetrators might be involved. This eventually led to the identification of Ted Walker as the kidnapper and the O’Brien twins as the assailants, who were sentenced to life imprisonment. The horrific nature of the crime resulted in significant changes to Halloween regulations to prevent similar tragedies. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
