#57 Common Sense Conservatism? Values, Politics & Building Something New

This week on the Builder By Day podcast, Ryan and Aimee dive into a big question: what would it take to create a grassroots movement in Nova Scotia built on common sense values?Inspired by Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA, they explore the gap between everyday working-class values and today’s political parties, comparing conservative vs. liberal principles, and questioning whether anyone is really standing up for the middle class anymore. In this episode, they discuss:• Why common sense feels absent in Canadian politics• Conservative vs. Liberal values — and where they clash• The struggles of the working and middle class today• Issues of immigration, jobs, and cultural identity• The role of family, faith, and responsibility in society• How to actually start a movement — nonprofit vs. political partyWhether you agree or disagree, this is a raw, thought-provoking discussion about where society is headed — and what it would take to organize for change.
