57. Talking About Your Job: How to Describe Your Role and Responsibilities Clearly

Someone at a networking event asks what you do for work. Simple question. Your mind goes blank. You start explaining your department structure, your reporting lines, all the internal systems you work with. By the time you finish, the person looks confused and you feel embarrassed because you couldn't give a straightforward answer to a basic question. You know what you do. You do it every day. But explaining it clearly in English, especially to someone outside your company or industry, suddenly feels impossible.This episode gives you a simple, repeatable framework for describing your job without fumbling or overexplaining.
