In this episode, I am sharing my perspective on thoughts or beliefs and who's in charge. We dive into the relationship between emotions, thoughts and beliefs through the lens of NLP. In today's episode we discuss: 1) From neurological research, the sensory input always goes through the emotional centres of the brain before it reaches the frontal cortex — the place for our rational thought. With that understanding, one must realize it is actually physically impossible for thought to come before emotions. 2) Our thoughts are only ever replaying the past or predicting the future. A belief is a thought you continue to have, and the faster you can interrupt and replace a thought will determine what you see, what you believe and what you create.
