#575: Presidents Day

President’s Day is a time to reflect and a time to pray. First, we must reflect on the strong, godly, and wise men that built this nation. Our society would like us to dismiss the heroism of our forefathers, because of their shortcomings. But if we erase our history, we also lose the legacy of greatness. Young men today need to hear the real-life stories of flaws, mistakes, triumphs, and true masculinity. Just as God used imperfect men in the Bible to do heroic things for His kingdom, let’s remind our boys that God did— and still does– use flawed heroes to achieve great things. Second, let’s remember to pray. Now, more than ever, our government needs prayer for wisdom and discernment. Pray that our nation’s leaders would turn to the true source of wisdom– our Father God– as they make crucial decisions.
