579: The power of franchises with Peter Taunton

from The Remote CEO Show · host Deniero B

In this episode of the Remote CEO Show, I had the pleasure to interview Peter Taunton. Peter Taunton is an entrepreneur and founder of several fitness brands. He grew up in Willmar, Minnesota, and quit college during his junior year after a business statistics class left him frustrated and in debt. Peter excelled in racquetball, which led to his first health club ownership opportunity. He later founded Snap Fitness, which has grown to 2,500 locations in 26 countries. He also founded 9Round, Farrell’s, YogaFit, STEELE Fitness, and Fitness On Demand. Peter believes in providing affordable financing, world-class support, and management philosophy to his franchise owners. He was named Ernst and Young “Entrepreneur of the Year” in 2010.
