He was even pursuing a PhD in criminology at Bradford University. However, despite his academic success, in the comfort of his own home Stephen was pursuing violent and sadistic interests and hobbies. In his early years, Stephen was troubled. He even spent 3 years in a youth detention center for stabbing someone.
