58. Miss Musico

During our stay in Florence, we met people with great dreams and stories. Dominique is one of them. Listen to her story of a dream that unfolded in its own time. The process started in 2019 to get her Italian visa. She had the perfect conditions to be able to obtain this special family visa. Then the world shut down - she was unable to go anywhere. She still had the strong desire to move to Italy and improve her craft of singing opera so she took classes online and watched streamed performances from NY. She kept as close to her dream as she could even though she couldn’t make the move at that time. Having never been to Italy before and not speaking the language, she didn’t let that stop her from moving at the end of summer 2021. There were so many conditions that were influential to her successful transition. What a delight it was to hear her adventure and see how things worked out for her so far!
