The Magi, usually referred to as The Three Wise Men of the Nativity, came to honor the “Newborn King” and to present valuable gifts, gifts for a king (gold, frankincense, and myrrh), and to learn if the prophecies were true. Apparently, they were not disappointed.   The Wise Men seemed to understand. They had done their homework!   For anyone on their own life-quest seeking Truth, it is hard to find a better historical example than these three special men. It’s foundational to the Christmas message.   Ultimate, eternal truth, not relative “truth” or what’s popular or “faddish” at the moment.
