58 - The Platform (2019) Review

Trapped in cells in a vertical prison. 2 people per cell. The number of floors unknown. A platform providing a buffet of food drops down to each cell through a hole in the middle. The people at the top receive a buffet while the people on the bottom forage for crumbs. Unrest and turmoil are imminent especially when people are brought to different cells after a month.The Platform is a unique movie that dives deep into human nature and how people behave in the circumstances they are dealt. Given luxury, would we indulge or share? Given nothing, would we commit atrocities to survive? Reverse these scenarios and would we behave any differently? All that and more in this 2019 horror film that delves deep into the human moral compass.
