#581 - Brent Jones

The Brent Jones interview is featured on The Paul Leslie Hour.

Ever been on a cruise ship? I’m pulling out an interview from the archives, this was originally broadcast on Radio Margaritaville years ago.

This is a blast from the past! This interview is with Brent Jones, the coordinator for the Parrothead Cruise. He talks about the famous and infamous cruises where toga parties, great music and sometimes questionable behavior abound...all for a good cause! Over the years the Parrothead Cruise has raised more than $320,000 for charities.

These legendary annual cruises were beloved by tropical music fans and beach lovers, a certain kind of reveler: Parrot Heads, which are Jimmy Buffett fans. This interview was broadcast back in 2004, but I’m bringing the interview back out to promote Parrothead Cruise 2022. Just go to parrotheadcruise.com for more information. They’ll be departing from Miami, Florida on March 12th and visiting Honduras, Belize and Mexico. This cruise is being called “Bring Back the Magic,” which is the name of a song Jimmy Buffett wrote with Will Jennings on his 1988 album Hot Water.

If you’re interested, you can register at parrotheadcruise.com and there’s also a raffle you can enter if you’d like to win your way aboard.

The Paul McGregor Podcast Paul McGregor On the 4th March 2009, my life changed forever. My Dad, the man I looked up too, the man who in my eyes had 'everything' on paper took his own life. After it happened I struggled to deal with the grief, I buried the pain and found myself asking the question 'why' over and over again. I too then found myself struggling with depression and anxiety. This Podcast is all about documenting not only my own personal journey to discovering more about mental health and suicide, but to also document other stories too. It's time to talk about mental health, it's time to give it the voice it deserves and hopefully this Podcast can provide that. Hopefully this Podcast helps show others that they're not alone...Paul McGregor is an author, lecturer, a mental health advocate, husband, Father of 2 and avid Liverpool supporter. He shares daily content, giving mental health a voice across multiple social platforms and through speaking and workshops across the UK.<p style='color:grey; THE PAUL HALME AUDIO ADVENTURE Paul Halme Business, Fitness and Fun! The Paul Hutchings Podcast Paul Hutchings Inspiring & Empowering freedom through principle centered lessons on Personal Development, Online Marketing & Financial Literacy. The Paul Salamone Podcast Paul Salamone Berlin-based comedian Paul Salamone rants about pop culture, local geography, and books he's reading while playing cheap electronic music live on a synthesizer. Hear old road stories and laugh at Paul's attempts at self-improvement, foreign language mastery and financial freedom... all of it back by occasional techno jams, weird reggaeton and chiptune stupidity.
