#582 - Tall Paul

The Tall Paul Interview is featured on The Paul Leslie Hour.

So, on this incarnation of The Paul Leslie Hour…I’m really going way back now.  When this show was first broadcast on Radio Margaritaville back in 2003 my idea was that I wanted to have a special guest on every episode. Of course I’d play recorded music… but then it’d be interwoven with an interview.

The very second episode of the show was with an incredible talent. He’s one of the best singers and live entertainers I’ve ever witnessed. It’s just that simple. His name is Tall Paul. I have some wonderful memories of seeing him perform.  He’s also made some really great records. He’s a talented songwriter and can also interpret the work of someone else like nobody’s business.  You can visit Tall Paul’s website at www.tallpaul.com

Pick up an album while you’re there. Can’t Find My Way was his first studio album that came out in 1994. Then he did a studio album in 2001, Fast Beneath My Feet that’s just excellent. He’s got some live albums such as Tall Paul at the Library from 1989 and October which came out in 1999.  There have been more records of his since then. He’s a great recording artist.

This was the second interview I ever did, recorded at Henry Jordan Studios. As you’ll probably soon hear, Tall Paul is a really cool guy. I’ve always seen him really show a lot of love for people and I’m grateful to him.

One thing’s for certain, the real Tall Paul experience is live. Something very cool is coming up. He is one of the entertainers in the entertainment lineup for  Parrothead Cruise 2022, “Bring Back the Magic.” It’ll be a flocking at sea. He’s performing with his wife Kristie Bobal. It’s sure to be an excellent thing. You can sign up or enter for a chance to win a place on board by going to www.parrotheadcruise.com

So folks, here it is. The second interview I ever did.with the great Tall Paul… Maybe I’ll bring out the first interview I did, we’ll see.  Go easy on me folks. I sure sounded nasally.

However, this is a great look back at another era. I sure had fun.

The Paul McGregor Podcast Paul McGregor On the 4th March 2009, my life changed forever. My Dad, the man I looked up too, the man who in my eyes had 'everything' on paper took his own life. After it happened I struggled to deal with the grief, I buried the pain and found myself asking the question 'why' over and over again. I too then found myself struggling with depression and anxiety. This Podcast is all about documenting not only my own personal journey to discovering more about mental health and suicide, but to also document other stories too. It's time to talk about mental health, it's time to give it the voice it deserves and hopefully this Podcast can provide that. Hopefully this Podcast helps show others that they're not alone...Paul McGregor is an author, lecturer, a mental health advocate, husband, Father of 2 and avid Liverpool supporter. He shares daily content, giving mental health a voice across multiple social platforms and through speaking and workshops across the UK.<p style='color:grey; THE PAUL HALME AUDIO ADVENTURE Paul Halme Business, Fitness and Fun!
