#59 A Much Better Thought than "I Don’t Know How to Do This!"

from Finding Joy in the Journey

Devon moved back home this month. I was spinning in the ideas of: There must be a right way to do this. I don’t want to mess it up like I did last time. What is the right way?How can I figure it out?It was so stressful. I was honestly stuck in this, I don’t know how to do this! energyAnd it made me feel Confused and worried. While coaching with my friend that is when I realized I thought there was a right way to do it. Before then I was just spinning about everything. As soon as I saw that thought – There must be a right way to do this. But in reality, there is not a right way. There are many different ways to handle this experience. Maybe none are “right” but some are better than others and each day will bring different opportunities to try again. Suddenly the anxiousness was gone. I decided that when I thought that, I would change it to “There is not a right way to do this.” There are many ways to do this and I will try this today. I also spend time each morning doing my MPoWeR’s and while I am journaling I ask God, “What should I do or know today?” Then I let what that answer is be my guide. That is what I will try today and tomorrow it may look totally different and that is OK.What is something in your life that you are trying to do “right”? Or something that you feel like I don’t know how to do this?Try on the belief – there is no right way to do this. There are many ways. Which should I try today?HELPFUL LINKSFollow me on Instagram @powerupyourprayersPodcast Episodes – Show notesGrab a Copy of one of my BooksGain Free Access to My Favorite Tools
