#59 - Composetheway

If you haven’t heard Composetheway (Jordyn Davis) yet, your ears don’t know what they’ve been missing! I’m so glad she could stop by and podcast! 🎧🎙 I first heard Composetheway after seeing an Instagram post about her performing at Blue Owl Coffee in REO Town Lansing. I checked out her profile and was blown away by her songwriting — the music, the lyrics, her voice, I could listen all day! 🎶 She’s involved in various music projects, and she is celebrated as the first African American woman to receive a bachelors degree in Music Composition & Jazz Studies from Michigan State University! 🎉 We talk about Composetheway’s musical background, songwriting, underscoring for film, defining a career in music, many other things, and she plays a few tunes! Enjoy! Here’s where you can find Composetheway online 👇 Composetheway: Apple Music | Spotify | Bandcamp | Bandsintown | Soundcloud | Instagram | Facebook | Twitter | YouTube
