59. Considering The Cross I John Hilton clarifies myths about the cross in our Church culture

John Hilton III, Professor of Religious Education at BYU, dispels some of the myths we have in our Church culture about the symbolic nature of the cross. John helps us understand why members might hesitate to display and use the cross as a symbol of our faith as many Christians do. He talks about how the cross can be used as a bridge instead of a barrier when identifying with other Christian believers. John also addresses mixed messaging about the cross from church leaders and the different ways we use the symbolism of the crucifixion in our temple and church worship.
