#59: Katie Turner - Joy Amidst Trials

Katie Turner is one of the most humble, genuine, kind, tenderhearted, and honest people you will ever meet. She is a talented artist, a homeschool mama of 6, a devoted wife, and a committed disciple of Christ. To be around her is to feel like you’re home, and she has touched the lives of so many people with the love of Christ (Mindi included!).Yet her life did not always look like it does today. Her journey to Christ was marked by many intense and difficult trials - childhood family drama, trauma, and secrets, paired with some really unfortunate relationship and extracurricular choices as she grew up. She tried to figure out life and purpose on her own, and failed over and over again.But God never let her go even when she wanted Him to. He kept a hold of her heart, and slowly and deliberately drew her closer to Him. Katie’s is a testimony of a life radically changed by the gospel of Jesus and the glory only He can bring to devastating and difficult circumstances. She embodies joy, and even in trials radiates the love, hope, and peace of Christ.
