594BC: The Fourth Man in the Fire

After Nebuchadnezzar conquers all of his enemies, he lets it go to his head. Building a statue similar to the one from his dream, he commands all of his officials to bow down and worship it. Anyone who doesn't, he commands their death. When Daniel's friends, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, refused to worship the statue they sentenced themselves to death.
