Have you noticed how something that used to be called "making do" now has a much cooler name? It's called upcycling. Social media is filled with people turning old furniture into statement pieces, transforming glass jars into home décor, using old T-shirts as cleaning cloths, and giving second-hand finds an entirely new life. If you want to repaint a cabinet, turn a wooden pallet into a coffee table or make tiktok coffee, there's a tutorial. What I find fascinating is how we've started romanticising things that previous generations did out of necessity. We're repurposing things because it's trendy, creative, cost-effective and often better for the environment. And that's today's Culture Shift.
