A 67-year-old Colombian woman named Miryam, living in Armenia, Colombia, built a profitable business by gathering and selling neighbourhood gossip. She systematically tracks local residents' schedules, visitors, and events in structured notebooks and operates a tiered pricing model where routine community updates are sold at lower rates, while sensitive topics such as family conflicts or infidelities command significantly higher fees. She also charges clients for discretion to prevent details from circulating. Through this venture, Miryam earned enough profit to purchase two houses. After going viral via a video by content creator Lady Daniella, her story sparked widespread internet reactions alongside ethical concerns regarding privacy violations.
