O Mestre anuncia que, naquele momento, começa o seu triunfo e, ao mesmo tempo, começa a glorificação do Pai: “Agora foi glorificado o Filho do Homem, e Deus foi glorificado nele”. Não diz que seria glorificado depois da paixão, através da ressurreição, mas afirma que a sua glorificação começou precisamente com a paixão. A glória e a cruz são inseparáveis. (João 13,31-35)
