6/12/25 8AM: How Can We Refrain From Stereotyping Our Own?? Pt2

Hour two kicks off with a continued conversation around stereotypes and how we perceive our own people in certain environments based off of Carrie’s experiences last night at the Milwaukee night market with fights and an uncomfortable energy in the air. Carrie & Ben discuss their feelings and ask if they are justified in being wary of being around our own people and questioning their decisions. Callers chime in and give their thoughts, touching on how we’re all more alike than we think & how outside influences affect how we see our own people through media portrayals and what gets reported. As the hour furthers the conversation shifts into just how one can protect themselves in these locations and at events as Carrie & Ben speak with callers about commanding presence and respect from the younger generation, as well as the definition of the term “YN” as many people have begun using the term loosely.
