6.20: Right Now! God is Revealing the Signs of the Times

God gave us Bible Prophecy as a warning to mankind to clean up our act, obey God and avoid the worse of the worst -- the consequences. Most of the Old Testament prophets were sent to warn the Hebrews that they'd better stop sinning -- and their greatest sin was idolatry. Over and over and over again, God warned them to stop worshiping the pagan gods or else. Well, there were a lot of "or elses". Two of them were the attacks of Assyria then Babylon on Israel and Judah -- they had 2 kingdoms at the time. You'd think they would have learned after the Assyrian attack, but no. So God sent the Babylonians not once, not twice, but 3 times. And the 3rd time, they totally destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple that Solomon built. You can read all about that starting in 1 Kings. The New Testament has a whole new set of warnings, yet, they quote the Old Testament prophets a lot. At the bottom of my blog I've embedded two videos -- they're long, but worth watching.
