(6.3) Soul Girls Summer
from For His Glory CEO Inner Circle | Private Feed · host Ali
Here it is, cleaned up for the podcast app and kept fully in your voice:Soul Girls Summer Kickoff — Inner Circle Call ReplayOn this call we kicked off Soul Girls Summer — a whole season devoted to stewarding your nervous system before you serve, sell, or lead anyone else.I taught the two-gear model: survival (sympathetic) and safety (parasympathetic). You only get one gas tank a day, sis — and when you're living in survival mode, cortisol and adrenaline are draining it before noon. Here's the part most high-achieving women miss: your CEO brain — the discernment, warmth, presence, and patience God designed you to lead with — only comes online when your body feels safe. You cannot out-strategize a dysregulated nervous system. Then we walked through the five-part model: Circumstance → Thought → Feeling → Action → Result. We used a lost sale as our example. "This sucks" leads to discouragement, discouragement leads to quitting, quitting leads to no sales. That's the stress cycle. But when you treat that same loss as data over drama — evaluate it, renew your mind with the Word, ask curious questions, follow up — you step into the success cycle. Same circumstance. Completely different result. We finished with the physiological sigh: two sharp inhales through the nose, one long exhale, up to three times. Five minutes a day is enough to lift your mood and lower your stress — and y'all felt it on the spot. This isn't a one-call fix. We're taking the whole summer to build new neural pathways. Name the thought to tame the thought — and let's get to work.
