Hour two of Jammin With Juice begins with a continued conversation about a clip from Nelly & Ashanti’s show “We Belong Together” with Nelly telling Ashanti he won’t be changing any diapers or nurturing his child until the child can do for itself garnering much online backlash. Carrie & Ben discuss gender roles & dynamics along with if Nelly needs to step up more as a father and if he is putting too much pressure on his wife. Callers chime in and speak on their own experiences as parents and how they have handled children of their own with regard to their partners whether male or female and if they operate from traditional or modern standards. Ben then takes us down his “Rabbit Hole” with a bombshell question: Why are you gay? Beginning with a story involving his cousin becoming the first gay person he met, and a experiment “Utopia 25” involving mice who began to mate with the same gender as the community turned on itself, causing Ben to speculate and give his reasons why he believes gender and identity have become hot topics nowadays with the evolution of society.
