But in this passage in John 14, Jesus seems to be describing what a normal Christian life looks like. As Watchman Nee pointed out, there is a vast difference between what Jesus refers to as the normal Christian life and what we experience as an average Christian life. When we settle for average, we miss out on the tremendous blessings God has planned as a part of the normal.
